This museum was a lot of fun to visit. They have a working train engine and passenger car that they give short tours with. We were able to watch them load them onto the turntable and position them for the train ride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The museum features a large train layout that is a replica of Savannah. When we visited in 2018, they were working on the model train layout. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the original factory has been restored and acts as display halls, but much of the factory is just a shell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had a large boiler built around the smokestack that heated water for the showers. The showers for the workers were underneath the boiler. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The train ride takes you over to the workshop, painting and storage area. This is a site that actively restores antique train cars and engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
