This is a fascinating site to visit. There are several homes on site, Edison’s lab, study and a museum. When we visited in 2015, we arrived late in the day and did not have time to tour the entire site. The day we were there, a storm was approaching, so they shut down the site early that day.

The buildings at this site are well preserved and setup to give the visitor an idea of how this location would have looked like during the American Revolutionary War. It has signs on site giving more info about this location. The Guliford Courthouse museum is close by, which has some exhibits related to this battle.

This was a physician’s kit at Old Fr. Jackson in Savannah, GA. It was on display when we visited in 2018. This set included things like an early stethoscope, body hook, marrow chisel and leech box.

This museum was a lot of fun to visit. They have a working train engine and passenger car that they give short tours with. We were able to watch them load them onto the turntable and position them for the train ride.

Ft Pulaski was a Union Civil War fort built on Cockspur Island in Savannah, Georgia. We had the opportunity to visit it in 2018. It was a foggy, cold, damp morning the day of our visit, and the bridge to the island was under construction.
